Please note that the roads will be open to traffic. Please be aware of your surroundings. The police of each town have asked that we run on the right hand side throughout the duration of the race. Once the race spreads out, please run single file. There are many areas throughout the race that have narrow roads with fast travelling vehicles. The people in these towns may not be used to seeing so many of us taking to the streets so please use caution and do not run 3-4-5 wide in the middle of the streets.
Post Race Gathering:
We will have pizza, snacks, drink (no beer / alcohol) inside Winnacunnet High School for you. Please enter, take a seat, rest, relax, rejvenate before heading home. There will be access to bathrooms / locker rooms during this time.
Results:
Results will be posted courtesy of Yankee Timing live online throughout the duration of the event at www.iresultslive.com.
Awards:
There will be no formal awards ceremony on race day. Awards will be mailed out to the top 3 overall men / women of each race along with the top 3 in each of the many age group categories.
PLEASE NOTE:
Regardless of the pace at which you are running, DO NOT at any point "cut the tangents," by cutting from one side of the road to the other in order to save a few meters of distance. Any runner who is observed to be doing this is subject to disqualification.
Also, please do not litter! Empty gel packs, wrappers, or cups are to de disposed of only at the aid stations. I am sure if a road race passed by your home you would not appreciate trash being tossed onto your driveway, lawn, or sidewalk. We are guests of the seven towns through which the race is run. Please act sccordingly.
We are looking forward to a fantastic race weekend and thank you all for participating in this year's running of the Eastern States 20 Mile & Half-Marathon!
